Default will i need it re-tuned

ive got a turboed 6.0l and im about to throw on some heads.. im going to go to a 2 bar map and up the boost in a month or two so it will need tuning then. will I be ok putting the patriots on and not tuning it and just keeping a close eye on the wideband?

thanks, Gary

Im no expert in tunning. just starting. My biggest concern would be what head are you going to run? if your sticking with a 6.0 ported it should be ok. But if your going to a ls6, or 5.3 or something different you will raise the compression. IF that were the cause i would want to pull some timing out of it. Lower compression would allow you to run a little higher timing.

Again might have better luck in the tunning section, or with someone who knows alot about tunning.

Good luck, Chris

good point... going from the 317 to ported 317 w/ slightly larger valves... same combustion chamber size.

Just keep an eye on the wideband, but if they do there job the engine should need more fuel at a lower boost level.

Since you do have a wideband I don't see a problem waiting. Bob
