Fuel tank venting?

Fuel tank venting?
Finishing a swap with a 96 LT1. 255 Walbro Supra pump, Aeromotive regulator, Toyota fuel injection gas tank with a vent line, retun line, and feed line. There is also a large 5/8" vent? going up to the gas cap.
Problem is the stock Toyota fuel return line is too small and makes the pressure too high if I try to use it. Can I use both the vent and return bung at the tank with a larger return hose tee'd into those for the return. Would the cap provide adequate ventilation? Would running a different cap help? Could I tee off that line ( the large vent to the cap) for a vent if the cap won't provide the required ventilation? I do not have a charcoal canister or any emissions junk so that is not an issue where I live at the moment, I just need it to function.
I can't believe how much fuel that pump pushes, I have been running the return into a 6 gallon can and it fills up fast!!
