Those who race on MT DR's....
How in the hell do you avoid wheel hop???? I took the vette out for the first time on the new setup yesterday on these DR's, and the car was hopping like it wanted to shot-putt the rearend. I was 130 miles from home, so I could not risk breaking. As soon as I felt it start to hop(which was almost immediately), I would lift some. This caused the car to bog so bad that it would almost stall. I could not even get below a 2.0 60'!!!
FWIW, I have driven to a 1.94 60' on the stock crappy runflats, so its not like I can't drive. The combination of all of this launch hopping followed by the near stalling killed my mph and my ET. I ended up going 11.837@125.22mph w/ a 2.060 60'!!!
Tire pressure was 20lbs hot and launch rpms ranged from 2500 to 3100 or so. I refused to try to launch any higher as again, I cannot strand myself 130 miles from home with no way to get back.
Any help is appreciated because for the first time, I really am at a loss for how to correct the issue. I tried different clutch release techniques and that changed nothing. As soon as the car started biting, the hopping began.

Sorry, but alot of the anwsers above are off for what psi to run with the vette. I run 28 -30 psi and get zero wheel hop . Get a good burnout and launch as normal. As another member of this forum told me at the track: Too many people like trying to use DRs as they would slicks and keep lowering the psi until it's nothing but slowing you down." Also, too low of psi is gonna trigger the remainder or "ghost" of torque management to kick in and hurt your 60ft when you hook with basically flat tires. I'd try 30 psi and if you get any spinning, drop it by 2 pounds until you find the sweet spot. Remember, a little spinning doesn't hurt the vette as much as some think. I've gotten 1.85 60fts on runflats, spun in 2nd and 3rd and still hit 11.4's. Good luck!

I don't know if you've done this already, but using the stock bolts, lower the car as much as you can in the back, it worked for DennisNJ and has helped others with wheelhop. Other than that, see my above post.
