Parking trains?
does anyone know where they park trains in nj? or if there are any junkyards/scrap yards around that do trains? I'm looking for a set of horns and no not for my f-body lol. i'm picken up a little 91 s10 that i plan to bag/body drop but first i want some real horns lol. i'll probably check some local antique shops because i was told sometimes there are horns to be had there. i'm willing to pay but not the $150+ that i've been finding them for online and im looking for real train horns, 180db lol talk on your cell phone while driving next to me will you haha

They probably won't just give you a Train horn or even sell one to you. My Granddad works for CSX as a mechanical maintenance person and a long time ago we were talking about RR Buffs after hearing about a runaway train incident in Chicago and he said that they are constantly replacing horns because people always steal them from the trains. It's possible your local freight yard might have one and could sell it to you for the but I'd have to think it'd be a pretty hefty price.

Real train horns, not the aftermarket eBay ones cost a couple grand. I hope noone is seriously considering trying to steal a set of horns. Thieves should get the same treatment in this country that they do in Saudi Arabia. You put your hands on something that doesn't belong to you over there and you'll lose said hands. Kind of solves the problem of repeat offenders.
