Default Correct Turbo Applications

I'm sure this topic has been beat to death since I searched already, haha, but I need some clarification. So we can just cover everything here and make it the thread for this subject. Twin vs single pros and cons? A single 115mm turbo capable of around 2,200HP vs twins that flow the same amount of air, which is better in terms or cost? Reliability? Spool? Total power output?

As far as pros and cons that I have seen:

"Twins will spool faster". Why? Exhaust gas pulse? Why not use a divided exhaust manifold on a single? Would that not pulse like twins?

"Twins cost more". Can't argue with that, an equal setup will obv cost more to support two turbos rather than one.

"Singles flow more up top but twins flow more downlow". Makes sense but I do not know much about twin setups, I've always had singles. I can't compare.

If anyone has any additional questions on the subject, add them to the mix so we can clear the air on the subject. Any info is much appreciated.
