4th gen 16 x 8 stock firebird rims work on my 1985 IROC?
i have the possibility of getting an extra set of 16 x 8 stock firebird rims and was going to put slicks on the extra set and wanted to know if i could change the slicks onto the IROC for the strip.
would it work? would i need to BFH the iroc or would they stick out?

They won't stick out. they have too much backspacing for thrid gens. I tried lending two of mine to a friend with an 87 GTA. they wouldnt fit. I'm not sure how much they were hitting though. MAYBE with BFH mod they would fit I am not sure.

I wasnt there when he tried fitting them. Not sure how much they were hitting. I would imagine spacers and BFH and theyd fit. But if youre using these to drag race, i'd say try to stay away from spacers. At least get some longer, stronger wheel studs.

They won't fit without spacers. You can look over at thirdgen.org, there you will find the best answers. I think hawks thirdgen parts (google it) carries the spacers. I don't recommend running spacers with slicks for a track car though.
