Default Forged 347ci LS1 Motor

Where'd you get yours, how dependable has it been, and how many miles have you put on it?

I did my own...minus the machine work. Put everything together myself and with the help of a few experienced friends. Was pretty easy really. It was the first motor I ever built. Had just over 11,000 miles on it when I sold my car. Numbers and most parts in sig.

Hey Moe. Sounds like you did well with that motor. It's a little too much for me to take on, though ... just not enough time. I'm shopping around and seriously considering a motor from TSP ... looking at a few options for the wife's car.

When I had a built LS1 motor not too long ago, I was running mid-11's in a full weight Trans Am ... on motor. When the motor was built, the ringlands were set up for a 150-200 hit. I actually installed a NX wet kit and backed out of spraying it just 2 days before my tuning appointment.

The motor had nearly 20K on it and was still pretty solid. Let me know what kind of power you make, If you get out to the track please post your times up.

Great ... looking forward to your times.

I'm considering HKE or TSP. There are a lot of reputable companies out there and this is for the wife's Trans Am, so, I want it to be as dependable as possible.

Anybody else have a high-mileage forged motor you would recommend from your own experience?
