Default New G5X3 cam.. What parts do you guys suggest??

I got the G5X3 cam from LGmotorsports..I traded my MTI stealth II camshaft for it with a buddy of mine that is going turbo with his T/A.. He told me the website to get the specs..
On the website it doesn't tell the duration but it has .600 lift..
I have a ls1.. I am getting a set of LS6 heads built with the valve springs needed for that big of lift..
I am going to get a new timing chain and oil pump. What would you guys sugest on parts?? A dubble chain? A high oil pressure pump? I don't really know,
I was looking at getting a ls2 timing chain..
I haven't realy been looking at oil pumps..
I also have a new set of ls7 lifters.

If you have any ideas for me or a good way to build this right, it would be helpful..

Thanks,
Evan

Depends on what you plan on doing with it. I suggest a double roller and a ported LS6 oil pump like from TSP.

at a bare minimum I'd grab a new set of dual valvesprings, new LS6 oil pump and an LS2 chain.

you'll need pushrods too, I personally went with the LS2 chain an new OEM oil pump, caddy lifters and a set up ARP headstuds. make sure you get the oil pump o-ring too.

ls2 timing chain
ls6 oil pump (stock from gm)
capable valvespring - prc dual, patriot gold dual, comp 921..etc
ls7 lifters
hardened pushrods of proper length

g5x3 is 234/242 on comp xer lobes lsa+4 - what lsa is the cam, just out of curiosity? any milling on the heads?

I was told that I can't mill the heads with that cam.. I was told that there isnot enough clearence..
I have a set of compcams chromemoly pushrods..
I was looking at the SLP oil pump and chain. Does anyone have any good words from slp?? It sounds like from all your suggestions is that to get genuine GM parts,
My car doesn't go to the track as much as I would like too.. Mabye twice a year. More street driving than anything,

...umm so it's a 112-2 or a 114+2?

the only non-gm parts i'd get would be the valvesprings and pushrods.

i have G5x3 and i paird it with set of darts heads 62cc ,with the stock GM head gasket it worked fine but P/H clearnce was too close then i swap pistons with diamond -2cc and paird it with set of comtic .040 to raise up the compression .

the thing is you can mill with this cam but you need to check P/h clearnece plus PTV , then go all out i suggest a set of cometic .040 instead of milling

No I don't plan on selling the cam...so ls2 timing chain and ls6 oil pump then.. I'm just not going to mess with the ls6 heads.. No milling mabje a slight port job..

that sounds good. i was asking if you had milled any because the x3 on any lsa is a tight fit with stock heads/gasket, but i believe the narrower the lsa the LESS ptv you've got...at least with the advertised 4* advance. i'm sure you could retard it and get a small increase in ptv.

lg told me the 114 lsa g5x3 cam will fit no problem because of the lsa...the 112 lsa g5x3 is he 1 you have to be aware of ptv.i dont know about on stock heads but they told me if i milled my afr 205 heads to 59cc and use the 112 lsa g5x3 i would be fine with no ptv..also they said if you want you could flycut the pistons you can but was not nessary?
