My last engine was a stock engine with bolt ons. I Started using nitrous at 130,000 miles pretty heavily. I started with a 75 shot moved up to a 100 for a while. 15-20 bottles later I moved up to a 150 fwhp shot I did that for about 4 bottles then i moved up to a 175fwhp for 3-4 bottles and it spun rod bearings 5-6 one day when i was off spray. I had all the safety equipment, upgraded fuel pump pulled about 8 degrees of timing for the 175 shot window switch all that. Times in sig were on the 150fwhp shot. It lived but eventually it took its toll on it. You can run that much spray just be prepared for it to let go when using that much 100-125 is the most i would go on a stock bottom end if i wanted it to last.

So true....Back when I still had a stock short block...I was running a 150 shot, and was going through 2-3 bottles a week...did this for almost 2 years. When I pulled it apart to build the stroker...the pistons, bearings, etc, all looked fine.

IMO that is up to you. If you want to spray a 200 then do it. If you want to spray a 75 then do it. Just know for every action there are concisquinces (I know i cant spell). I sprayed a 175 on a 121,xxx bolt-on motor for about a year. The motor was still running strong when I tore it down for a head cam swap. I always so if the tune is fine tuned enough it will be fine. But thats my opionion.

I'm not trying to hijack or anything but I'm considering a wet kit for mine would that have any effect on how big I could go ? Also what would need to be tuned to run a 150 on a bolt on car ? I do have tuner CATS by the way ....
