I try to shift right around 6800. My 60' is usually anywhere from a 1.64-1.74 or so. I'm gonna take my 4.56gears out this winter, I think I might run faster going to a 4.11gear. My thinking is that it will maybe even 60' harder. I have a hard time getting the car to hook with the current gears in it. I guess 1.6 60' are ok for a 6spd but I'd like to see a 1.5 one day. First gear is just too short with the current gears as well.

Yeah i would definitely go to a 4.10 to see what happens. I have the 3.73 in my auto but if i had anything over that it may be too steep for top end performance. Ever think about trying a 3.90 gear?

A local guy here has those gears in his 2000 m6 car and has went 11.2 @ 124 1.64 60' He is supercharger though

I never thought of using that gear personally. I like the 4.56's but sometimes I feel they are a bit much,,, and plus it sucks if someone wants to f*ck around on the highway. You pretty much get stomped.

If you had a fatty and skinny setup with some slicks you may be able to use the 4.56 gears more to their advantage, plus it will shed some weight so you may pick up quit a bit top end as well

Yeah I know,, I'm tired of running my z06 wheels upfront but its all I got. I run my stock 16's in the back with M/T ET streets bias ply. I run a 28" tall tire cause of my gear ratio. I'd really like Bogarts but think I may get a set of Welds instead cause of being on a budget. I'd like to get tubular kmember and upper and lower a-arms as well but who knows. I may just get the wheels for now and change the gears.

Hey man,, I've been doing pretty good I guess. Yeah ,, no more better passes yet. Mainly due to the track prep. I went a couple times when it was colder out but the track wasn't that great and there were tons of people breaking or leaking on the track. So I think I only got like 3 more passes in the car from when I was talking to you at the track that day.

yeah I know,,,Maple Grove is a decent track,, just too many people show up or break or spill **** all over the track. Then when they clean up any messes they take forever. Especially on grudge nights,, the track never seems to hook super great and you can tell all the guys at that work there rather be doing something else. You can tell they don't like grudge nights. The only time I recall that track hooking good lately was after the Toyo Tire Nationals. The weekend after that,, the track hooked way better than I anticipated.

yeah i woulda had to run to see the track prep but i thought it was goood. It just seemed like there are way too many cars there, 3 runs for paying that much just sucks. I like tracks where you can get atleast 10 passes in, it takes awhile to get dialed in and running perfect.
