From what I've seen, most people who race, need the extra rigidity of a tubular arm, as well as the added stiffness of a non-stock bushing or rod end.
I intially boxed my OE stamped arms, and used them for years with no issues. About 3 years ago, I tripped over some thick walled, round steel tubing in the shop adjacent to where I was working. It was left over from some project. I also had access to a lathe and Bridgeport, as well as a certified industrial person in our welding shop.
So, the wheels in my head started turning... I fabbed up the necessary parts for a set of tubing LCAs, and my buddy in the welding shop "glued" the parts together for me.
Yep, they look cool and all, and will probably survive a nuclear attack, but in all honesty, the car still drives the same....
