I run sylvania silverstars in my front signal lamps. I have the "black clears" so clear lenses with black reflectors. Those bulbs light up a darker color amber/orange, and they have a cool blue/purple reflection to them when they're off that looks nice when the car is all cleaned up on a sunny day.

they are pretty easy to install just remove the headlights which is only one bolt then the turn signals are held on by 3 bolts.

If they light up amber...I am pretty sure they are legal. I have heard they need to reflect amber, not just light up amber...but there are cars on the road with factory lighting that doesn't reflect amber...just lights amber.

I just did this for my '00 SS...turned out great IMO. ~$30 on ebay.

In VA, the law says you must have orange turn signals, which is pretty standard in most states. Whether they are orange bulbs/clear lenses or clear bulbs/orange lenses is up to you.
