Default Milling 317 heads

How far do you need to mill 317's to get down to 64-62 cc chambers, has any one done this with any good luck

A good way to guesstimate how much is figuring that every CC will be .006"-.007". So if you are starting at 72cc and going to 64cc that would be approximately .056". That's a lot to take off the heads but it can be done. Be sure to check your valvetrain geometry to be sure that everything is setup properly!
