Default the next chapter of the story...

Well after getting rearended about a month ago now, dealing with certain circumstances and having awesome friends I'm going to be fixing the rear and painting the entire car.

The original TA hatch I had on the car was cracked in 2 places and it wasn't really worth it to spend the time to fix so I found another hatch thanks to a TFB member and scooped it up and put it AND my new Ram Air hood on today!

Car should be being torn apart by the end of the week. Looking forward to finally having a car that is all one color...if you know me or have seen the car you'd understand the joke. haha

was going to go with a bright pearl white but due to cost and more then likely having to match stuff eventually seeing it's a daily, i'm just going to be going with the 98-02 Artic White.

I like that hood. I wish they made a similar style for the 98-02 front end.

Put the car in the shop mid last week. Didn't really start working on it until yesterday. Busy and just trying to determine exactly what I'm going to be doing...

Took off the front bumper cover, side mirrors, window molding, door handles and wing yesterday. Today, the guy that's doing the pulling will probably set the car up on the rack, if not atleast determine how much pulling it's going to require.

Should have more updates later tonight. Should be sanding tomorrow or atleast by the end of the week...

I'm SO FREAKING EXCITED HAHA!!!

Well it's been a while and I figured I'd give an update. Yea, not much work has been done, it's kind of a "side project" in the shop, I just bought a DD so I'm not as worried about getting it back right away. I did however start it up today and damn I miss driving it...

Fixing the bowed fender from rolling the fender lip:

Look what we found on the passenger side. The paint on the top side of this fender was peeling and now we've figured out why...

I'm guessing someone tagged a mail box and then did a cheap fix job.

Dents and passenger side fender lip as well:

Sanded, filled in, block sanded and primed:

A pat on the back goes to the first one that can figure out what's different about this picture.

update:

Hoods off and I blocked it today, tomorrow i'm finishing the fenders, nose, bumper, spoiler, mirrors and door handles. Sounds like a lot but really isn't much to sanding stuff. The hood was by far the biggest feet I had. I hate block sanding now, I was thinking about doing the entire car...FORGET THAT!

no more TT2s...new wheels are being ordered tomorrow and should be here by the end of next week.

Hood

fenders and bumpers

oh and I gots me one of these too. haha. I have to fix it where one of the tabs is broken and I'm going to be spraying it white with the rest of the car.
