Default No oil pressure in gears other then park

This morning I got my speedo gears fixed for the 3.73 gears, in park the car had oil pressure just like normal, in any gear other then park, the gauge will either flutter or go completely dead. The motor has oil pressure, so I am trying to think what it could be. Waiting for th car to cool down to unplug the sending unit, if it's unplugged it'll read maxed out. So that should let me know if it's a circuit or sending unit issue, right?

Unplugged the sensor, put the keyforward and it pegged out the gauge, so my circuit shows fine

Hum....strange. Maybe the range switch on the side of the shifter?
