Wheels & Tires - New Rims Need Fixed - Need Opinions

So my new (to me, bought used) rims came in, and 3 of the 4 center caps had the chrome flaking off. So I went and bought some "chrome" spray paint. From a distance it actually does somewhat match the rest of the rim, but from up close you can clearly see the difference. I also tried painting one of them a gloss black - now I don't know which one I like more.

try polishing them and see where that takes you

Would spraying a clear coat over the "chrome" add shine, or take away from the shine? I know with most colors it adds shine, but I've been told with metallic colors it can take away from it.

Polishing the "chrome" ones? Once you sand them down they are a copper color - not exactly good for polishing to match chrome.

I went to Cragars website and couldn't even find the wheel listed on the site - I have no clue to where to buy new center caps.

Then get them re-dipped.

Do the center caps snap in, push through the back or what? There are tons of center caps in all brands and imaginable variations on ebay.

They are the push throughs. All the center caps on ebay for Cragars are VERY odd looking, they are the bullet style but are alot taller.

I don't think the chrome paint looks that bad, anthracite or a dark metallic grey would probably break it up pretty good to.
