Which Stroker? Part 2...Long
In my first thread the other day I was debating which stroker. I have narrowed it down a little but not much. Haha. I don't want to do a 402. I will probably do a 416 or bigger. Based upon my mods listed below which of these setups would you go with? My car is my DD and also my toy. I plan on staying NA. I want something that will rip good on the street and also at the track. I don't want to change my heads at all but if I have to change anything I would change the cam if need be. As far as drivability is concerned, it doesn't matter to me. I live 1 mile from work. Not sure if I can post up prices so I will leave them off for now. If it is okay to post prices let me know and I will post them in. So let me know what setup you would go with and let me know any comments you have based upon parts I should use or not use or anything else I need to know. Last but not least, if this is against forum rules then delete the thread. I couldn't find anything that said if it was or isn't.

Who wouldn't vote the 440ci?
Yeah, your current top end will choke the **** out of it and it will run like a 416ci, but later when you can afford a good top end that will better feed a 440ci....you can grab a spot into the 600+ RWHP club.
If you get a 416 or whatever engine listed above, don't expect much more than a 30 RWHP gain over your current 497 RWHP.
Cubes need to be fed.

Check out Livernois also, they where in one of the GM HighTech issues and where stated to have the tightest tollerances. Also remember KaTech has a 20% discount going on right now. Might also give S2performance a call and get some good advice. Just stay away from Weber Racing they don't seem to know how to build a motor, but are great at getting any negative posts removed from this site.

No really...if you have the money to spend on a 440ci and you know later on down the road you'll be upgrading the top end stuff, get the 454ci. No reason not to. It won't cost any more than a 440ci.
454ci = 4.185 bore x 4.125 stroke LS2 block with the new longer Darton sleeves. N/A set up and that stroke and bore is perfectly fine. And if you decide you may want to spray it with a 200-250 shot, you can do that too, just go 4.155 on the bore for a 447ci.
