Question TSP/PRC LS6 2.5 with 231/240 "PTV"

Just wondering if the PRC LS6 2.5 http://texas-speed.com/shop/item.asp...d=134&catid=40 will fit with my custom cam "231/240 .643/.608 112+4" predator-z speced. It will be installed in cam only 346ci stock engine BTW

Is the 2.5 worth the $400 over the PRC stage 1.0? http://texas-speed.com/shop/item.asp...d=649&catid=40

Can I use the 2.5s without PTV clearance issues with my cam?

Thanks in advance.

I don't think that cam will fit with ample P to V clearance on the 2.5 ls6 heads. The Stg 1's would definately fit because they use the stock valves. You might also take a look at our stg 2.5 5.3l heads, we should be able to get those to fit with that cam if we sink the valves for some extra clearance. If you have more questions feel free to PM me or give us a call at the shop.

How much will the price jump to have the valves sink for extra clearance for this cam and your stg 2.5 5.3L? Predator-Z spec out the same cam for me.What about Flycutting issues?

It does not cost any extra. $1209.99 fully assembled with a PRC Dual Springkit. Just let us know what size cam you are running when you order and we will sink the valves for it.

Thanks John, I will give you a call next week regarding the 2.5 5.3l

One more question, I just swap my cam and I put Patriot extreme springs ".660" with 7.400 pushrods and LS7 lifters. Do I need to change the springs and other valvetrain components with your 5.3l heads ?

Thanks

You can transfer all that over to our heads if you want. No problems there.
