Default Quick Flywheel/Flexplate question

Ive got about a 500-525 horsepower LS1 motor being dropped into my trans am. The drivetrain is fitted with a Yank PT400, an FLT Stage 5 465LE, Alum DS, and a strange 12 bolt. My question is, is it ok to keep the stock flywheel, as this car is a street car, but definatly racing oriented.

I expect to run low 11's to high 10's with this combo and dont know if this is a nessesary mod to do while the car is still apart.

Any help would be appreciated with this, and any information on the weights of the flywheels and how they affect DRAG RACING performance would also be greatly appreciated.

Thank you, Darrin

I would while u have it out. If it brakes it can ruin the stall, tranny, block and more.
