I had mine relocated but, had problems with the starter. I suppose it was a ground problem. I made sure everything was good, starter just kept on clicking. Moved the batter back up front and it fixed problem. Anyone else have this problem?

I have 4GA Welders Cable, the stuff conducts very well.
I should be fine with it on the Distro Block in my pic, but I'm pretty sure it's long enough to go to the Starter, I'm going to run it that way just to get that added insurance.
The key to this too is to have good grounds, that is why I have quite a few of them.

I used the summit battery kit and used a heavy duty ground strap from the k-member to the engine. Also from the battery I ran the ground cable to the right frame were the exhaust hanger would be & another one to the body.

The only thing I say is to get a real Coolant Overflow Resivoir..not leave the Factory Battery Tray in there like some people do. IMO it look like *** with the Factory one there and no Battery.
The one I got in my Car came from a S-10, I made the Brackets for it..
The way it's all setup at the moment was just to get everything in there. When I'm finished some of them Cables will be moved to different spots so it will look really clean.

What z_speedfreak means is adding the weight of ~18ft. of the 0 or 1 gauge wire. As well as the cutoff things needed to run at a track legally. Yeah, it's at the back, but it IS more weight
The alternative is a lightweight battery.
Personally, I went remote mount with the pickup. Cleaner underhood, I could use more weight out back, and the added weight is ALL lower than factory... I like the corners
