Default LT1 short block

I dont know if this is the right section or not, but I was wondering how much would a stock bottom end in a LT1 block, timing cover, oil pan, lifters, the lifter spider(retainer) and of course the block itself would sell for? I have a potential buyer but I dont know what to price it at. Also it has like ~130k

Thanks guys

They don't go for much. I'd try to see if I could get 150 for it maybe. If not, work your way down.

A couple years back I bought a clean short block with oil pan for $300. It had 90k on it.

Earlier this year I bought a complete LT1 engine with 85k on it from water pump to flexplate and fuel rails to oil pan for $375.

With 130k I would probably consider yours a core for rebuild enless you have actually checked the bearings and cylinders for the amount of wear.

I bought a compete 97 with 22,000 for $500, Larry sold his old bare block for 250.00.
Around here an Average complete LT1 sell for about 500 give or take depending on miles for a running motor

I recently got just a block for 150$ but bare blocks seem to sell for 250-300.

There was a Datsun 280z running around here in the bay area that had a procharged 383 LT1 with AFR heads, ported intake, long tubes, etc..... I also believe he put a T56 behind it...

It was a friggin rocketship. I saw videos of it but never saw it in person....

$250-$350 is what we see good bare blocks go for

They are not as easy to come by these days.

Had a buddy that had a older datsun with a LT1/700r4 out of a 92 vette. with the mods consisting of a set of LT headers. It ran a 13.5 spinnin its one little tire to around the 60ft! lol When i was still drivin on the street i would take off and leave him then he would power back around me. Good swap choice! lol

Yeah, I bought a complete, but disassembled LT1 with new GM heads (not rebuilt ones, but they are 561 castings so they suck anyway). The short-block had 62K on it and I got it for 575. Thats about as cheap as I could do around here.
