Default pushrod lift?
How would u figure up lift if i went to a 7.200 to a 7.400??

Same formula you use to detemine displacement from longer connecting rods.
LOL nice.


Just to clear that up, in other words increasing pushrod length does not have any effect on the amount of lift.

Pushrod length is adjusted for correcting geometry, not for factoring lift.

But, geometry does affect lift. Albeit minimal.

But when the geometry is right on every setup like it should be this doesn't even come into play

if you left the heads alone you should be fine with 7.2 if you had the heads milled or changed valves with a different height or went with a thinner heads gasket you will have to check your geometry

Yea if you have the Geometry off you will have problems. All you are doing with a longer/shorter Pushrod is changing the angle of the Rocker on the Valve. You are still moving it the same distance.

Glad you got your answer. And to add to it, if you increased your rocker arm ratio (using 1.6 or 1.7 rockers) then your lift will increase.
