Default 4l80e with mech speedometer

i had intended on using the Street & Perf mech speedometer tailshaft housing for my speedometer, but found out my tailshaft has the wrong splines (long ones) wish i had known, i would have switched the rear shaft
i saw a box on ebay, had a motor or something in it that must have read off the sensor to run it-how good do they work, and any other options

The box made by Abbott will drive your speedometer and works good. It will get it's signal from your VSS. http://www.abbott-tach.com/cablex.htm
