Trading for SS Impala?

Trading for SS Impala? I found a 2006 Impala SS with 27k miles or so on it for $17k http://norfolk.craigslist.org/cto/991429005.html
I emailed the guy and he showed interests in my TA. We may be meeting this weekend to talk more depending on if my wife likes the car or not.
Now, I posted this to get any and all info some of you may have on the SS. I know of one person that has the same car. He absolutely loves it. But I am not certain he knows anything about it other than it can move pretty quickly.
If you have owned one or have first hand knowledge with working with/on them please post up. Thanks in advance.

I am with Buff, I just looked at my 2007 trade in, list for 16s.
Overall the car is a lot of fun. You will learn a lot from the threads around here, but here are a couple items for you:
The good:
More power than it knows what to do with
Comfortable ride
Enjoy the BOSE system if you got it, not great. . . .but better than most stock stereos
Nice V8 rumble when you open the exhaust up
Turbo kit if you got the cash is available
FWD helps in snow country like I live in
Mileage is decent, i average 19 mainly city driving (if you do nothing but stop and go like Buff you are looking more like 13-14 mpg)
The bad:
More power than it knows what to do with
Seats need more support for hard cornering
Stock tires are awful, many of us have replaced with F1 All seasons and enjoy them much more

Yeah WAY too high of a price - this car market sucks raw right now - one of the guys posted a MCSS they were looking at for $14+.
My parents love their Impala - I just don't like the seats either. But coming from a F-body you won't notice anyway.
G23 eh? I have a G19, G22 and G23. Love the 19 and 23, but hate the 40 prices!

The wife has a Steyr M9 (it fits her hand well). Its also made in Austria from I believe a sister company of Glock. Wow, how did this gun hijack start? I kinda have an IN, on guns, seeing how my dad is a gun dealer and all.
EDIT: Not a sister company, but a competitor. The design was offered to Glock before Steyer, as Glock declined the design!

So with the extension does it make the grip as long as the 19 / 23?
Nice guns - I never shot one though. The only 1911 I shot was a GI one, but couldn't hit the targets at 25 yards so I opted for the M203.
Yeah the love / hate of the Glocks is just like the Chevy / Ford debate! Then there's the 9 / 40 / 45 debate!!!
Had a S&W as well - M&P 40. The slide really rattled when you shook the pistol - sold it and got the G19. Was amazed at the build quality! Plus I was able to shoot 400 9mm rounds -vs- 300 40 rounds.

I shoot the 27, and to answer your question...
No not quite, but it makes it more comfortable and gives me somewhere to put my pinky.

Back to the original topic, as everyone mentioned, you should be able to snag an 08 with 15k or less for that price. And as someone else mentioned, unless you need it as a DD I don't know if I'd trade a T/A for an Imp SS.
