Default engine just started ticking

so i came home from work went inside showered ate dinner about two hours later came out and started my car to leave right upon start up it started ticking I hadnt got on it all day car was sitting at work no unusual strain on the motor at all did an oil change last thursday this problem happened last night i mean its kinda loud but not super loud im thinking it either the rockers or lifters any body got any ideas im going to take the valve covers off tonight and check the rockers out i hope that one of them is just loose any input welcome i have a 233/239 cam and 7.4 pushrods and springs that have been in the car for like 20,000 miles never done this before with its an 2002 with 4x,xxx miles

ticking eh? you have a ls1 my friend
might wanna check for exhaust leaks too, the headers tend to blow out the gasket

if you have headers, check the bolts..

oh yes.. this reminds me why i hate headers on a daily driver... ******* ticking.

so any ideas i checked over the motor it seems like its underneath the intake but not sure
