Default no life out of oil pressure gauge?

i changed the knock sensors in my 2000 ss went good got it all back together and everything is fine except the oil pressure gauge reads nothing. the car is running at idol ok no noises or anything. not sure what happened?
any ideas?

probably going to have to pull the bastard off again.

You broke the oil sending unit. It's a common mistake when wrestling with the intake getting it on/off. Easy fix, but the intake has to come off. The sensor is fairly cheap at the dealer. As old as these cars are now, you can probably pick one up at your local parts store too.

I was fortunate when I did the heads on my LS1 to not have damaged the sender. As Damian said, it is common. I know the LT1 sender is $25 and the biggest caution is to use minimal force when tightening it. The pipe threads are quite small and fragile. And use thread sealant not Teflon tape on these threads.
