sprayin nitrous at high speeds/sprayin with traction control
i wanted to do a few high speed runs last night to see what my z28 could do on top end . i had already buried the speedo before so i brought a handheld gps with me . i tried to do a run but somthing seemed wrong , it felt like the car wasnt climbing while i was spraying the nos , it felt slower than when i tried it without the nos .i tried another run and it seemed like when the car got to 140 mph it was stuck , it seemed like it was cutting off . i then realized i had the traction control on and i thought maybe that was cutting the power off.after i turned the traction control off i did a run and i was able to get right to 163 mph with a little help from the nitrous(and it felt like it was still climbing) .my question is could the traction control have been doing this ? or is there somthing else that i should know like maybe the nitrous isnt good at these speeds ? any feedback would be greatly appreciated .

I've heard of somebody else at the salt flats trying to do a speed run and the low traction light coming on or something like that, I think at those speeds the traction controll should be off, I also heard its bad to have it on above 40mph, not that I've ever used mine though

I believe rwj383 on corvetteforum sprayed a full 10lb bottle to get his car to 200mph and trashed the rings.

GM, also I couldn't help notice you have HPP3. Which if you spray with the powertune is also a nono.
HPP3 copies the high octane tables on your low ones and therefore leans your AFR. This will make your ride very prawn to detonation and I'm sure you know what this means with N2O

I have also sprayed to see how fast I could go, but mine hit a speed limiter at 162. You dont have to hold the nitrous very long to get there. Make sure your tractioncontrol is always off when you use nitrous, If it detects any diffrences in any of the wheel speeds it will try to compensate and if your spraying you could damage your motor.
