Default Leaking Coolant... Help.

Car is leaking coolant. Checked the level and it was low. I filled it about 2 weeks ago... not it's almost empty.

What could be the problem??

Could the bleeder be not tight enough?

The car never leaked before.

I took it to a shop and they tried to do the 160 T-stat swap and they couldn't. Now the car has been leaking from the front driver's side.

They couldn't change your t-stat to a different one...its a 5 minute job.

Only thing on the drivers side is the upper radiator hose...or a crack in the radiator.

You'll have to fill it up and get the engine hot, operating temp, and look for leaks. Thats about all you can do.

They said there was a fit issue. Whatever... I won't name names.

I'll have to check for leaks now.

Thanks for the response tho... Now I have an idea tho.

Your car might have the new style water pump, or the original pump and the tstat is for the new style. Add some dye to the coolent.

Possibly power steering cooler, they seem to be a common problem.
