Default trying to decide between MS3 and TREX in LQ4

Im swapping a set of CNC'd Katech heads on my lq4 shortblock, and am thinking of changing from the 228/230 .571/.573 112 that i have in it now to either an MS3 or Trex. Im using a stock MLS gasket and don't want to flycut. Anyone with first hand experience with something similar?

lq4 shortblock
LT headers
90/90
3.42 gears
100-150 shot of nitrous

I have seen a lot of good results with both cams. You might want to think about changing your rear gear setup to take a little better advantage of one of these more aggressive cams.

What size valves are in your head? I just got done claying my setup yesterday with a cam just barely shy of an ms3 and it left me with like a .030 clearance with 2.02 intake valves. My heads are P&P but have not been milled at all still 61cc chambers. If yours are cut or have big valves I seriously doubt you will be able to run an MS3. My specs are 236/242 .580-.590 on a 112 with 2.02/1.55 Probably not what you wanted to hear but that is about the limits without flycutting or buying pistons. I am just glad to see mine fit I was about to get really pissed. I am not sure on the specs on the Trex but it is the duration that gets you not the lift valves just stay open too long you can actually watch the valve overlap on my cam with both valves open at the same time for just a sec.

stock valve sizes, 2.00/1.55 The heads are also not milled with 64cc chambers. I was thinking the dish in the lq4 piston would give me a bit more room to work with for PTV clearance.

To be a 64cc chamber wouldn't they have had to be milled in order to get that size?? What casting # did they start with before Katech worked on them? 241, 862, 317? I still say it would be really close with the MS3 enough so that you would have to do some checking to make sure there was no contact.
