new PB on street radials, bolt on m6
got a new best at the track yesterday, 12.23 @ 113 mph with a 1.70 60 foot (on nexen 275-40-17 street tires!) not really sure how i did it, ha, and it was somewhat of a fluke run, the track prep just happened to be perfect, good air, and i was one of the first cars to run that day, after that pass my 60's went to hell (2.10's, but the car has managed several 1.90's on a different set of street tires) and dropped me down to averaging 12.9-13.0 @ 110 mph, but i am very happy with that first pass, even though i really doubt i could do it again on these tires, maybe when these wear down i will pick up some DR's and go to work

Congrats on the PB!
As you said, sometimes if the stars align, good times can be had from regular street rubber. I snagged a 1.70 60 foot once on my Nova's 275/60 street treads, but never duplicated the feat (had a bunch of 1.8s but nothing like it). Some dr's will make it more of a regular occurence.

Man don't ya just LOVE IT when that happens?
Before I got the Mickey's our track had one night where we had really light traffic; perfect conditions and prep; it was like being glued down. Ours lasted for a couple of hours... hell I'd say I got in 12 or so runs before it began to slip back into reality.
They closed for two weeks and had the stages repoured and it tooks a month to get anything out of the whole after that.
But that night was freakin' GLORIOUS. That was the first time I actually felt what grabbin' was like and saw the results... and right then and there I knew I was getting the slicks.
