True duals: pros and cons ?
Ok,this is my last noob thread I swear lol. Im putting pacesetter lt's on my car,and im contimplating buying a couple bullet mufflers and running true duals dumped off. Any power gain/loss? I do spray the car,if that helps. It spends more time on a trailer going to and from the track so noise aint an issue. Let me know. Thanks for reading, Dale.

LOL i like your introduction statement.
I encourage anyone to ask as many questions as possible knowledge is power. while there are people that will be unkind in ways there are always others that will help.
i have had true duals on my car for a while now...when i had the duals done with the stock 3.42s i did feel some bottom end power loss, the power i used to feel was moved up higher in the RPM. according to my 1/4mi. time, i did gain after the 1/8 the cure was the 4.10s.....
some will say duals are not needed but i think that all F-body cars should have come from the factory with them, judging from SEMA show GM feels the same way the new camaro has duals

For me my 2.5" TD's have better ground clearance than my Jet-Hot Y into Magnaflow believe it or not, only very low point are the turndowns but I have yet to scrape anything. After going TD's I will never go back...
Pros:
IMO Dumped with turndowns looks badass
Less weight
Sounds alot better
More power and wont be a restriction like a 3" Catback will be the more you mod the car.
Cheaper than a Y-Pipe and Catback setup.
Cons:
Its very loud (if dumped) so not recommended for a DD.
For your situation I would say TD's would be a no brainer and I'm sure you would love them!

What size pipe do u guys think I should run off the header and into the bullets? Loud is good in my book, but don't want it to flow to much and hurt my performance.

An X or H will sound alot better than just straight pipes. For your setup 2.5" would be fine, 3" may even be overkill but it will be perfect down the road if your stroked out with heads/cam etc so something to consider. I went with 2.5" personally because of clearance with my lowered car.

i like the sound of 2.5 inch better over 3 inch for one, many more will agree..
as far as clearance, you should be ok depending on who you have do it..
do a xpipe, that gives the most hp.. its only 2-3 hp over an h, but it is a good 10 or so hp over straight pipes out the back.. and yes i have seen this on back to back dynos, no i dont have sheets..
as far as what size flows the best, 2.5 inch should support you just fine..
A 2.75” (stock) single system is good for a 310hp engine with zero loss…
A 3” Single system is good for a 370hp engine with zero loss…
A 3.5” Single system is good for a 503hp engine with zero loss…
A 4” Single system is good for a 657hp engine with zero loss…
A 2.25” dual system is good for a 457hp engine with zero loss…
A 2.5” dual system is good for a 513hp engine with zero loss…
A 3” dual system is good for a 812hp engine with zero loss…
