Default few 6.0/ls6 questions

any body know how much would have to be milled off a set of ls6 heads to get them down to 62 cc's?

what would be the differences between ls1, ls6, ls6 ported and the 6.0 oil pumps
as far as flow idle and top end

is the 6.0 non pvc like the ls6?..

does the 6.0 have the crossover tubes needed with the ls6 intake?

28 or 33 lb injectors with 6.0 ported ls6 heads 230 ish cam, headers

-Nothing depending on the year. 01+ Motors all had the same oil pump, LS6 or not. None flow better then others. Ported one obviously flows better then any of them, just take the one off the motor and port it. Good to go.

-LS6 does have PCV, just comes out of the valley cover rather then rocker covers, and yes. 6.0 does have PCV, out of the rock covers

-Coolant crossover? Yes. 6.0 has a coolant crossover, depending on the year, the rear holes are plugged, and a single one crosses the front that will fit under your LS6 intake. ( i know, i did this)

-Either will work, 33lb obviously being the better choise.

so with the ls6 intake...do i need to do the pvc conversion same as if i had put it on an ls1?...

so everything needed is on the 6.0 engine?... (03)

thanks for the earlier response

Hey,

Simply put, a 03 5.3L & 6.0L are identical except for internals.

the 6.0 Uses less PCV **** then a LS1 does, i had the one hose run from the back drivers side hole to the LS6 intake, thats it.

If you used LS1 rocker covers, you could use LS1 PCV System

For the LS6 intake, i simply bent the outlet tube a little to clear the intake, and bolted it down. No need to modify the steam crossovers
