Question MS4 question

ok guys, hopefully someone can tell me some info or voice your opinion on this matter. im looking at buying an ms4 cam. along with the purchase of this cam, ill be getting other supporting mods such as ls6 ported oil pump, ls2 tc, some kind of valve springs?, and chromly pushrods. will this be a good setup or are there more mods ill have to do to make this work? input would be great.

also, something else. the cam and pushrods im going to buy are 5 days old. the guy that im buying them from was spinning 7k on a stock bottom end 02 ls1. he scattered the entire bottom end of his car. he says that the pushrods and cam are still in good shape. he wants to sell it all to me for $300. should i go through with the purchase or play it the safe way and buy what i was origanlly going to buy, an ms3 cam?

just tell me what you guys think. thanks in advance.

I don't know if what's listed in your sig is all the mods you have, but if your car is an auto you'll need a converter. Gears would be recommended for 6 spd or auto. You'll have to run double springs for a cam that big. Texas Speed sells the PRC duals.

As far as the parts go... are you buying online or in person? Bottom end shouldn't effect those parts, but if possible inspect the pushrods and just make sure they're not bent... kind of hard to give advise on that... it's either good or it's not.

it would be pointless to do without a stall and gears.

Just remember this CAM limits your selection of heads.

You'll want a FAST with that cam so u can use it's full power band. If it's a daily driver or a street car, I highly recommend a smaller cam. Remember the APR rod bolts!!!!!!!!

I have the MS4, but I would recommend maybe getting a custom grind cam.
I bought the package from TSP that had the dual springs and pushrods.
I'd highly recommend get a fast 92/92, stall converter, gears, and fuel injectors.
You wont make good torque numbers with it...just my opinioin
