Car Tries To Die When Started of folks, when i first got the car the ac didnt work. and it started fine. when i got the ac fixed it wouldnt stay started, you kept having to give it gas and after a few minutes it would be fine. then i found out my battery was bad as well as my alternator. so i had my alternator rebuilt and a new battery. that actually helped a lot. but would still try to day if you started the car with the ac/heat on. so i just turned it off and started it and all was fine. recently though, when i start the car with the ac/heat off it will die. so i have to give it a little gas for about 30 seconds and it is fine. it will do it everytime i start it, no matter how warmed up or how cold the car is. so, what the hell could this be. do i need to get it re-tuned. the car idles at about 1100-1200, which is too high in my opinion. thanks.
