Default passenger side headlight keeps burning out

I've replaced the passenger side headlight three times now.
Does anybody else have this problem and what was the fix?

I've had recent problems with the new Sylvania ExtraVision bulbs. I had two go in and last less than a year. (One on each side.) If you are using these, they come with a satisfaction warranty where Sylvania will replace them for you. (But you need the recipt, etc.) Directions are on the box.

Check the grounds and check the plug where the bulb plugs in. If you have gotten moisture in your headlight at all it could have caused that plug to start shorting out and getting hot which makes it start to melt. The higher resistance from the heat just makes it get hotter and hotter and it never stops. It can cause premature failure of the bulbs and I suppose if it got bad enough maybe even a fire. Check the plug out and just be sure thats not it. You could also try some dielectric grease in the plug.

I had no clue. I run these.Been through a ton of them.

BUT FOR THE OP..

Get some dielectric grease and some electronics cleaner. Pull off the front cover of the headlight and reach down there and undo the harness(motor/headlight wiring) clean WELL then grease well and snap back together firm and put the blue lock back. Then do the same for the other side.

So far so good. No blown bulbs and I drove through the giant ice storm.
