Default Will a 9.5 inch converter fit in a stock 4l60e

got a buddy who has a 9.5 inch 3700 stall he used in his 4l60e. but it was in some other kind of car my question is ,with that small of a converter you cant really tighten up the bolts to it where the starter hole is cuz they dont come out that far... so how exactly do you go about installing it and will it bolt to stock flywheel??? just curious some please help
