Default transmission help needed!!!

I seafoamed my car today, and all went well. As im going for my spirited ride AKA driving the ***** off my car, something funny happens. I floored it from roughly 50mph to 80mph and saw the RPM's shoot up to 6200 even though i have the max rpms set at 5800 with hypertech programming. After this my auto transmission downshifts to 2nd gear and wont shift any higher, so im going 60 mph revving around 4k which is no good for the engine obviously. Even regular street driving now my car shifts from 1st to 2nd and then stays in 2nd regardless of rpm's/speed. I dont know what the problem is and really dont want to replace my transmission. I have the stock automatic transmission in a 96 z28 with a 2800 stall and a relatively new trans mount. Any help/advice would be greatly appreciated.

Thanks in advance,

Keith

Sound like a bad 3-4 clutch. Check the fluid to see if it is burnt.

When you say it just goes 1-2 and that it does it neutral where the 2-3 shift should be or does it literally just stay in second?

Default ahhhhhhh

yeah it just stays in 2nd regardless after it shifts from first. It idles fine, shifts from park/neutral to drive fine, then shifts from first to second but won't shift to third or fourth gear after that, making it pretty much undrivable on highways.
