Locked and unlocked is just talking about the lockup clutch in the converter. A converter with a lockup clutch when locked will give you much better mpg on the freeway as well as keep the car a bit more quiet for highway use. The lockup really has nothing to do with the stall of the converter. You could go with a nice Vig 3200. I would not go any lower than 3200 though, I think if you do you might be sorry in the future. I run a Yank 3600 and its not really bad at all, I wish I would have gone 4000 on the stall.

You wont be disappointed with Circle D. Their level of customer service and guidance is top notch as well as the quality of their billet street converters. Give Chris a call and he will set you up!
