Is there a differance between a 2wd truck 4L60E and the 4L60E that is in my 2001 Camaro?????

I dropped my trans pan and I'm replacing the filter and noticed the filter that I purchased at the parts store is differant in shape then the stock filter.

 

so im guessing u bought one for the truck? or do u think they just gave u the wrong one..

 

Trucks generally have a deeper filter than a car

 

The one they told me was for my car is square and not odd shaped like the one that was in there before.

 

Try to post pictures of both, I have never seen a square 4l60e filter, Now the 700r4 filter is square maybe they gave you one of those by mistake.

I dont know what they sold me but the box doesnt even say 4L60E anywhere on it!!!!

 

just go to the stealer its only like 30bucks for a new filter and gasket

 

They sold you a 700r4 filter

 

Yes I agree that is a 700r4 filter.

 

Autozone P/N: TF320 Comes with rubber gasket.

I use it on my GTO because my Derale cooling tube pan requires the short style filter from a Camaro instead of the deep pan filter for the Goat.
