How do you get to 750rwhp?

How do you get to 750rwhp?
Starting with a 2002 LS1 M6 with: Bolt-ons, FLP LT's, MTI C2, stock heads, Granatelli MAF, dynoing at 407HP. How can you possibly get to 750RWHP with an aspirated engine (no juice/blower). Is there any bottom end, bore/stroke, head, cam combo that can get you there?
$$$ not a problem (within reason)...

Re: How do you get to 750rwhp?
A friend has a 418 stroker with all the good stuff (Carrillo rods) JE Pistons, forged Lunati Crank, Cartek stage 2x ls6 heads, ls6 ported intake..etc...gets like 520 rwhp natural. To go 750 you better dig deep and contact a serioss builder outside the normal LS1 world. 25-30k is likely a good place to start. Hmmm, 17:1 compression and beyond???On an LS1??? Yee hahh...we'll all watch and enjoy.

Heh
6.0L iron Block with a COPLETE bullet proof bottom end 8.5 to 1 CR
get some good heads and cam and stroke it.. then you add twin T78's to 20-30 PSI and violah 1000HP territory =) Oh wait you said NA... heh good luck, VERY rare engines make over 750RWHP NA.. Prolly more than 25K IMHO

750rwhp means the engine has to make 885hp at the crank assuming 15% drivetrain losses.
If you use a 705ci engine it becomes much easier to make 750+rwhp

Re: How do you get to 750rwhp?
Just browsing this thread... I dunno about 750 rwhp... even with a C5R block (the blocks can't really handle that much power). But if you're serious about spending the money and building the best motor money can buy, contact me... I'm a student at SAM. I can hook you up.

to answer this thread, IMO i think a high compression 427 with ported C5R heads sheet metal intake, huge headers, and large solid roller cam would get you close, if you spun it up to 8500 rpm or so.

750 RWHP NA isn't going to happen anytime soon with an Gen III engine.
I've tried (well, I'm STILL trying) this very experiment and I can tell you, 700 RWHP ain't easy and 750 RWHP seems like the impossible dream at this point.
Even 650 RWHP NA ain't easy. 30K will get you started.

Re: How do you get to 750rwhp?
You will not get 750 rwhp N/A from an LS1 based platform. Take it from Colonel, he is trying right now and not even CLOSE to 750 rwhp, and he has BIG $$ invested in his project.
A solid roller, VERY high compression C5R 427 with C5r heads, huge solid roller cam, huge headers, and maybe a FAST system would make close to 700 rwhp probably, but we're talking about a 50K motor.
OR....You could get yourself a 6L Iron block for less than 1000 bucks, punch it out to a 415 CI. Put forged pistons, billet rods, and a good crank in it. Get yourself a good set of Stage 3 6.0L heads with a thicker Cometic head gasket to drop the compression, good cam, Kooks headers, stud it all the way through, and an ATI blower running about 15-20 PSI. 750 rwhp would be yours. For a fraction of the cost of a solid roller C5R motor.

Re: How do you get to 750rwhp?
750rwhp out of an N/A LS1 based engine? I want some of what ever it is your smoking... Seriously though, why would you even bother? I understand that that is how the science progresses, always looking for more, but I would leave this type of endeavor to some shop that's looking to make a name for itself. Let me show you what it takes to put 730hp N/A to the rear wheels.
This engine had 511 cubes, heads that flowed 406cfm on the intake side and 300cfm on the exhaust, 12.9-1 compression, and a 750 lift solid roller. The carb was a #9375 1050cfm Dominator and the engine produced 869hp @ 7500rpm on a Superflow engine dyno.
Instead of chasing a very expensive pipe dream, why don't you just build a 400 inch blower/turbo/N2O engine. Forced induction is where it's at if you really want to make the ponies. The above engine's out-put jumped up to 1227hp when I sprayed it. To get that kind of hp out of an N/A engine would have cost me in excess of $35,000. What you see above was around $15,000 including the headers and the Nitrous. I'll leave it for you to figure out from here.
Good Luck with whatever you decide.

Re: How do you get to 750rwhp?
you could just spend some money on a 502....you can get there with a big cam and heads and all the other littl goodies....buddy of mine in philly just dyno'd his 502 stuffed into a camaro....736rwhp!!!! he is very pleased....
although he's spent close to 30g's
