a lot of people in the past have had problems with the Granatelli MAF's... I used to deal with them when I worked for an aftermarket car company... we sold their products... even from a vendor's standpoint they were always dicks when collaborating with them...

Yes, a MAF change WILL require tuning, I don't care if the company says it does not.

It is not worth the minimal gains that you will get. Ask anybody that tunes cars.

I had a granatelli on my car when I had planned on doing a H/C swap. I went with one of the most highly respected speed shops in the country and they told me to put the stock back on for tuning purposes. It's never been back on my car, I have it for sale as a matter of fact. When Speed inc. gives advice, you listen.

I had one on my car, since i needed a maf, and I paid $10 for it used with 40 miles on the first owners car, if that tells you what it's worth.

I yanked it off my car last week, (I did tune to make it correct) but after it failed on me, and made my car drive like crap, It's sitting in my spare/junk parts bin.

Typically when someone tells me they have a GMS MAF, I offer to scan it and show them the fuel trims. They have always been +15 to +25 (max), which is very lean. If you want an 85mm MAF get a GM unit, either way it will need to get tuned. Otherwise stay with the stock MAF, especially if you do not have a larger intake tract (90/90 setup).
