Ok 93(truck)-94 the same. 95 stand alone. 96 to 97 the same except for some trucks got a bolt on bell, 98 f body bell housing change-inputs shaft and pump stator.Trucks a bit mixed up 98-99 the they were like the f body in 2000 .And of course the V6 are a whole nother ball of wax

so any 4L60E can be made to work with an ls1?

Well yes and no . 3.4 3.8 V6 NO, 94-97 with a crank spacer and electrical mods on the 94-95. But ideally the LSX should get the correct trans for it 98 up LSX style 4l60e.

mmm i have a 95 4l60e bolted up to my 00 ls1 in my 95firebird. it runs and drives but shirts a 2k at WOT. could this be the electricals? i mod the lt1 fly wheel to work the ls1. got a spacer too. any help weould be great

Default 94-95 differences between 96-2000

No mention of the PWM (pulse width modulated) torque converters in the newer 4L60E's Sure would not want to mix this item up. Guaranteed disaster.
How about the 4 and 5 solenoid Valve bodies?
Got to be more differences I just can't think of right now.
