hit a curb :(
So thank you "megastorm" for dumping almost a foot of snow on philly. I was driving to work and i hit a curb. I slid sideways into it i was only going maybe 5-10 mph when i hit it. I went over it though and onto the grass. I looked pretty heavily at it and there is no damage to my rims or anything else that i can see. But it is making a little noise

"megastorm" and you only got a foot of snow?.. We have had that 4 times this year lol.
You may not of hurt the suspension. I was fooling around in a parking lot with the beater car, i saw what i thought was a snow drift so i take a run at it, turns out there was a curb under the snow. I bent both rims pretty bad, knocked them off the bead and hit my head on the roof but other than that no damage.

good idea! fwd is a lot more bearable than a rwd for a dd in plowed areas. i had my truck in 2hi cause it was slushy earlier today and its back in 4hi for now. horrible amount of hard packed snow around here at intersections.

if they couldn't find any damage, they should drive the car on a lift to verify everything is spinning true and there isn't any wobbling. Then throw it on the alignment rack, set it up, and take measurements. Assuming your car had a decent alignment before your incident, they should be able to look at what angle is off and determine from there what took a hit. A hub & bearing can cause the noise, but not a vibration in the pedal. The outer wheel weights are taped to the inside of the wheel, so I doubt you tossed a weight.
The wheels on our cars are forged aluminum, they like to crack rather than bend. My buddy who works at pontiac confirmed this as he mostly sees GXP wheels cracked from damage above and beyond everyday curb rash.

Are the 2008 GXP wheels still forged aluminum? I know the wheels made by Alcoa on the 2005-2007 models with the rivets/stud looking things on them were forged/aluminum but aren't the fatter spoke 08 wheels just cast?

I would assume the ones that dont say alcoa forged on them arent forged. You can really tell if you take the tire off the rim. The inside of the rim has almost a machined finish to it, while a cast wheel just looks like a cast, pourous piece.
