Default OMGWTF! Headlights...

Okay so i pull my car out since no salt on the road this whole week and today i go to the bank everything was fine... go to store fine... but when i get to my gf's house i hear a rumbling noise, when i put my headlights went down... And now anytime i use my remote to lock or unlock my doors the lights go up then back down and the passenger one is making alot of noise but still going up and down fine... so i just disconnected the battery and searched some **** here and didnt find anything... so wtf happen, is the motor going bad? it is cause its cold as **** out? and i did wash the car the other day...

Only thing i can think of is when i had my ram air fitted to my car they adjusted the lights and it catches the passenger side so sometimes i do have to open my hood to let that headlight raise cause it gets pinched on the hood since i still haven't gotten the ram air hood painted or all the way fixed... so ya that's all i can guess as it caught one to many times... please help.

A stripped gear is a common problem on vettes and firebirds. It isn't hard to check. A search will yield instructions on replacement, if necessary.

What he said. That's like a reminder when they go up and down and it makes the grinding noise. It's like "Hey, fix me, u ****." Mine was doing that when I bought the car. Replaced the motor and all is well.

You can buy the Brass gear for like $35 or spend $12 at autozone or oreilys for plastic gear. Or spend $100+ for headlight motor.
