Default i want to trade my 12 bolt for yours

The rear is a Moser 12 bolt with 33 spline axles with longer wheel studs, C clip emininators, 4.10 gears, Eaton posi with Moser aluminum bearing cap support style cover.

i had it in my car not very long at all, didnt take long to realize i need 3.73 gears. 4.10 is to steep for an automatic

so im looking for the same thing just 3.73

the carrier portion comes in different series or channels, forget what they call it...

a 4 series diff can only have gears from 3.90 and up
a 3 series diff is what he needs for 3.73s

i was unaware of the series thing. so i cant buy 3.73 for my rear? i figured it would be easier to just swap someone.

Not sure if all the above mentioned was correct. I have a Moser 12 bolt with 3.73's in it right now...2 weeks ago it had 4.10s, all I did was buy a new ring and pinion, and an install kit(bearings and seals). Now maybe the above is true..if it is indeed a 4 series carrier, but a big majority of 3.73's are made for the 4 series carrier, and they make 4.10's for 3 series carriers. I've had them both.

I would call moser and ask what carrier they use with the 4.10's for the f-body. you can buy a 3.73 gear for a 3 series or 4 series carrier. summit sells gear sets for both carriers for $139.00. that's what I'm going back with in mine. the current gears whine pretty loud.
