Default Tire Discussion.....another one

Well, it's that time when I need to take my winters off and put my stock rims back on and my stock rubber is shot. All worn out on the insides like others have experienced. Have about 40k on them though...most of that being turbo so all in all not bad.

I want to get SUMMER performance tires rather then all season since I have a good set of winters (Dunlop Wintersport M3's)

All the tires I am looking at do not have a 225/50/18 for the rear, so I will be going with the 255/45/18 front and 235/50/18 rear.

Here are my options:

BFGoodrich g-Force T/AŽ KDW NT - http://www.1010tires.com/tire.asp?ti...and=BFGoodrich

Toyo Proxes T1R - http://www.1010tires.com/tire.asp?ti...tirebrand=Toyo

Thoughts? I'm not getting them from this place just using to show specs etc.

Is there something else I should be looking at?

I am leaning towards the G-Forces since they are a couple hundred cheaper for the set.

I like both. My GTP has the Proxes on it and the are a very nice tire. I also like the BFG's too. If you can afford them I'd go with the Proxes.

Yeah, I got 48,000 miles out of my stock tires too.

I had the BFGs on a different car and they were good tires. You might also want to take a look at the Michelin Pilots. I have the summer only Pilots on my CTS and love them. Great grip, they don't make a lot of road noise and are al all around great tire. I'm not sure if that make that will fit our front wheels though.

Toyos will beat the BFGs in corners, shear traction is definitely the BFGs though.

Should I get the G-forces only for the front or all around?

Ok, I was at my buddy's tire shop where my stock rims are stored and we looked at my rear tires and they have good tread left so I ordered G-Force's for the front and am keeping stock for the rear for now. Will have them on Monday, can't wait!
