Default JL audio 6.5"'s, do they fit in the door? (depth?)

How deep is the stock door? Can I fit these without any modification to the door panels?

thanks

They will fit in the door but will require you widening the hole a bit. I worked for a JL dealer and test fit them to the hole an noted that they needed to be widened. But getting them to fit is one half. You would need to seal that part of the inside of the door and make it an enclosure using fiberglass. JL 6.5 W0s are not designed for free air applications they recommend there VR 6.5s I believe.

Ok, I'm sorry, I should have been more specific about which model I am using, it's the JL XR650-CSi component speakers. If they require widening, could I use a dremmel?

here is a link to the model: https://www.jlaudio.com/evolution/XR650CS.html

thanks

The XR650s should fit no problem you may need to drill a new hole or two but no widening is required.
