Default snap ring pliars?

kevin or anyone that knows what type of snap ring pliers will work for doign my shift kit? Autozone had two kinds one with like 4 interchangable heads and one with just two big ole pliars in the package...i had read on one how to that the generic parts store pliars might not work...can someone fill me in on whos they used or what they looked like that differed from the autozone crap?

Thanks
Bill

Never had good luck with the interchangeable ones, the little hex prong things slip in their groove at the wrong time. I got some nice looking fixed-point ones at Harbor Freight retail store locally. I bet Sears has them.

I got a set of Craftsman snap ring pliers with 5 or 6 sets of tips. They are quickly changed from internal to external and the tips are held in w/ a hex set screw. Check 'em out; should work for what you need, and they are better than the cheapies at autozone.

Your going to need some long nose ones, I ended up having to bend my snap ring out since the pliers that the Snap on guy sold me that he said would work didnt.
