Got my HPtuners to scan, but not write... help?

Got my HPtuners to scan, but not write... help? Hey, so my brother in law came over and helped me download the drivers for my hptuners... turns out the usb cable itself had its own drivers completely seperate from HPtuners drivers. Anyway, i can get it to scan, but i can't get it to read my VCM or write to it. When i select to read the VCM, the stepd get to where it says "preparring VCM" then it fails. Anyone else have this problem or know how i can fix it? Thanks

I had the same problem about a year ago using Vista. I think I went to the web site and downloaded the latest drivers. Long time ago but pretty sure that was the fix.
