cant decide eather a 78 or 88??
Im on the fence right now to buy a kit but inbetween on what to buy. Right now its a stock longblock 6.0 with valvetrain, vic jr intake and 60lb injectors. Later on down the road ill eventually build the motor but still nothing CRAZY, just a simple forged 408. Been talking to Josh@Kentucky but i cant decide what route to go. Id like to do the t6/88 kit but the t4/78 is about $1500 cheaper so thats a BIG plus. Just wondering how far i can take the t4/78 or just do the t6/88 now and have it done for a better motor.

You're right. I believe Mighty Mouse had the PT88, and vee8 had the Gt47-88 with was a T6 turbo instead of the T4 the PT88 is. I will most likely never come close to pushing the stated 1250 limit. To me that's pushing the limit between a streetable car, and a full on drag car. And if your aim is 85%+ track then from what it seems most people step up to larger turbos.

I know of a similar weight(maybe a little heavier), similar cube car(less than 350ci actually) that went mid-low 9s with a 78. That was with a loose converter and no boost controller. Only 21 psi(as opposed to the 30ish he wanted to run).
78 is perfect for your goals, and would be more fun on the street.
